- Primarily, you buy ebooks over the internet. This is the distribution method that makes sense and is how almost all ebooks are sold.

(Warning: Beware of the plethora of pretenders in the ebook publishing business. There are alot of new internet publishers that will publish practically anything. One quick check is to look at their submission guidelines. If they charge authors to publish their books I suggest that you run away.)

Once you find the book(s) you want and buy them you will receive a method to download your books to your computer. - Once you have your ebooks (they're files) on your computer you can read them on your computer or load them onto your ebook device through the supplied cable and software that came with the device.
